Leh-Ladakh : Through my lens

A 10 days of a Lifetime journey. While back home, I can now gather my nerves  and come to this realization of living to tell the tale of a near survival and profound experiences that happen when you undertake the most difficult journey(or so they say) in a lifetime.   A “Road-Trip” to Leh-Ladakh. Of all the journeys I have undertook, this was different. To understand nature's deep dark secret I knew we will have to travel far and wide , risking a lot more than just small things. At altitudes, where survival is difficult to imagine let alone making it. To the wild streams of water running everywhere and the unstoppable quest and curiosity of what comes next.
Every turn during the road trip from Manali to Leh ; brings you a new surprise. You may see snow covered mountains at one point whereas after just 10 kms these mountains turn into barren lands showing no signs of existence. “14” hours of driving time and it is as immersive as it gets. I am of course discounting the number of times I had threw up on my way. Rising altitude was directly proportional to deterioration of my health. Rare signs of oxygen makes you realize that there are major things in life , for which you haven't thanked the almighty enough. I mean who "learns" to breathe anyway, it just comes to us automatically and we never thanked him ever for providing us with the functionality to breathe. We just assume, we get it.
I can’t really say that I have really enjoyed the hills always, but this was Different. I might have fidgeted, taken breaks, checked messages and so on, but in the dead of the night, it was transcendental experience. The haunting imagery of another planet crosses your mind which is right on its way to collide with earth. Skies that point towards your imminent extinction but also made for mesmerizing views. You just look at them in a hope that they would draw even more closely and get you in touch with your dear ones.
We could spot “BRO”(Border roads organisation. What were you thinkin’ eh) signs all over, asking us to be safe and sound in every possible humorous ways so that they could capture our attention even while driving.

On our way to Pangong-tso lake (15500 ft, above sea-level), I looked out of the window for a moment (yes , there were only a few moments in which I was doing just fine) into the world of clouds & snow! For five minutes I was out there and could see army camps all over the place trying every possible move to keep these ranges of mountains tamed. The idea of taming these huge mountains was an uphill task and impossible to believe. Imagine them Doing  it . I got a chance to introspect - prosper and appreciate . It kept me thinking that we as Indians haven't done enough to honour this talent. Strangely enough, we haven't even appreciated these warriors for their extraordinary contribution to our freedom and except for mouthing the usual platitudes twice a year, only because everyone else would be doing the same. Only two ceremonial occasions in an year, we might just give a thought about them and we believe we have done enough! Whereas we have hardly paid any attention to their agonies and wounds. For a nation that bellows of its efforts to seek independence at every corner, it is indeed a shame that we had let down our soldiers in their hours of distress.
I am not in favor of showering them with praises on every platform we have made it to, but the least we can do is help them, when they need it. Keeping an eye over how difficult their survival is, will surely get us moving. To me it did.

After three days of reaching back home safely, I can now say that my respect for a lot of things has grown even more than it was earlier. For now at least  I am forewarned against the kind of whim-worship we do for our army , and abstain from indulging in our “own” lives for the moment. I couldn’t agree more to the idea by which I believe, keeps the people living here, going: “Life should be a celebration, if we were not here, we wouldn’t be”

of timeless and selfless love ! R.I.P

To begin with I make an observation about the writing process that I unconsciously follow. I have many themes in my mind on which I decided that I will sit down and write. But writing I believe is not just the activity of conscious mind, but also the sub conscious as well. Often I have written about stories that touch me , topics that engage me and then realised  that they speak of matters, that concern me the most. 11OCT’2-14,I was fearing every single passing day because your reclusiveness had shown me signs of danger. I have known, and I hate to agree that your end was near. At the same time, I wanted your pain to subside. I prayed for something that was impossible, i knew but yes I hoped against hope.
Your presence has been so astounding and loving all the time. I see you around and I feel loved. You were so young and delicate when we first brought you here. And life was topsy turvy. From exam stress, to discussing relationships, my short timed crushes, you name it and, we have talked it all. The daily jabs at side park and evening walks. Singing songs after dinner and your never ending poo-breaks. Life was so engaging all this while. Now when I am back, I feel lost, estranged. Like an alien who is into some foreign land, looking for you everywhere but to no avail. The news made me psychologically profoundly disturbed and traumatised. It is difficult to sink in that fact.  Now was the time when you have grown up and we could start doing some sane things in life. Remember the time we talked about my marriage and your role. How ugly this phase is, and no matter however hard it is, there is an empty space within me which longs for your presence.  All said, you are irreplaceable . I do not think there could be anyone else on this earth with whom I can be with the same madness, Let alone sharing thoughts. Our world was so beautiful, beyond imagination, unconditionally true and bonded by selfless affection.
There are a few times when I am unavoidably reminded of the fact that you were an animal, I certainly do not think so. Animals are said to not have heart, but you did, a heart of gold. A heart which gave us in so many ways that we could not give back. Made our lives much simpler and happier in every possible way. It was your heart which I can die for. Your life has been a lesson . a lesson taken and well remembered always. Missing you will not be an option because I will keep your idea of life of giving selfless love and happiness intact within me.
Forgive me for the fact that I will continue to miss you and feel alone at times. I hate to agree but I  still lookout for you during my meals(because it reminds me of how i would give u food stealthily under the table when papa wasn’t watching) , my wake up sessions, my study times, the times when I cried and you could understand the reason why  and of course at every single second and with   passing day. You will stay with me always.
May your soul rest in peace! Keep an eye on me, because that will make me feel your presence. I seek your love and I believe you will be more happier up there but I would still want you to  come down again and be a part of me. I will be always waiting max!
Forever LOVE ** Max**
Yours,
Bestfriend/love/part time mommy

Grow up and move on !

There is an old saying : Love teaches you many ways to live.
Last week I saw the movie "raanjhanaa" and was taken back by a surprise. You never expect in Bollywood movies to touch the bitter realities of life. They are all made to please the public, and people want to see what actually doesn't hold any importance or not even practical in daily life. The Karan Johar" typical formula works quite well here , because it is all so fancy in those movies. Rarely you come across such stuff. Raanjhana was one of this.
The entire story which weaves around the immortal love of a street boy for a girl of his dreams. At one point of time I actually thought these stories never existed. But when I have gone through one experience myself, I can say, yes it is true. There are these road side romeos or the dreamy eyed boy of your class who can turn into a obsessed lover before you could actually figure out.
Some guy might fall for you , and it will be quite difficult for you to find out , what actually made him do so ? just when you thought you are ugly looking , and better - be -geek, you found an admirer!!.We girls, are not really aware of how much efforts go behind all this. But to admit it , yes it feels good. After all, who doesn't want attention during school days.
But what happens when life moves on? what happens if that school love of yours transforms into a life long wretched journey of loneliness in hope of getting your love one day. Will it be worth it ?
Damaging your lives , spending your days remembering this one person will not make you happy. Life is short to love and be loved. I have always felt that it is important to be with the person who loves you , rather than being with whom you love. Realize, plan, and seize the days of your life.
it isn't a rehearsal. it is soon going to end before you could actually sense its importance.

Love is a good thing , but it isn't worth dying for.

APING THE "aap" ! are brands learning from it ?

Aam admi party has provided a breathe of fresh air in the current scenario of politics.A movement which was marketed the way it will target its customers, loud campaigns reaching the far flung areas and not leaving a single stone unturned in giving voice to the people. The question is , this impeccable debut by Mr. AK has taught a lesson not only to the political fraternity but also to the MARKETING specialists who are brains behind the BRANDS!
Brands always look forward to reach to the customer and gain attention in every possible way. After all honesty, accountability and a sense of newness are the principles AAP stands for and they also happen to be the virtues consumers seek in brands.Ad campaigns like - "JAAGO RE" by Tata tea , and "OPEN HAPPINESS" by Coca cola have tried to put forward their proposition in a much perfect manner , so as to spread the awakening message to society I feel to some extent the very presence of aam admi party has led to this reforms in advertising area.Customers now seek answers from advertising firms " what role does brands play in society" . till now these questions hovered around their livess but now it has reached to a different level altogether. a level that seeks transparency, honesty and accountability in whatever these brands boast of.They will not only have to now "Do the walking" but also " walk the talk". AAP always has some backup data to support their claims, similarily brands will also need to hold responsibilty  if they are proclaiming a hyperbolic thing in their promotions. being realisitc is the need of the hour !
FLIP SIDE ---
"the purpose of doing business is business".If today brands take up the concerns of social issues then it might lead to their own fallout. Since in a competitive environment your are required to outshine others in every possible way, it might seem difficult if a brand becomes to honest in its predispostion. building customer loyalty and brand evangelists is every man's dream and as far as social issues are concern then CSR will take care of that.
"Amul" is owned by an aam admi and is consumed by many consumers. in last 60 years it did not felt the need to spread a social message but were equally responsible in handling their products and catering to those masses.Political changes cannot bring down any significant effect. Instead of weaving stories around causes , it will be profitable and better for brands to convey their message in the righteous, targetted and concise manner.

Beating retreat! Marking the end of our country's 65th republic day!

to spoof or not to spoof !

When a child taunts another child, you do not expect a response ! It is like a tantrum or a jibe. Even when you do respond to someone spoof or a comment in a funny way and even when it is supposed to be taken in a funny way, it does no harm. But when people start  taking it in wrong ways then it becomes a bitter name calling match ! For brands also the same formula applies.Todays media and advertising world we are witnessing multiple spoofs of advertisments, comedy runs on politics and gags on rahul gandhi with arnab goswami ! How far do these jabs trouble us or the person/organisation concerned ! ??
No one would like to make a mockery out of their too much busy lives and specially not, when it comes to public viewing ! In this season of election campaigning 2014, every party is behaving as a brand to outshine others in the race. Remember the ad campaign of coca cola and pepsi where: coke wrote " the official drink" and pepsi came out with a tad crazier tagline saying" nothing official about it".Also reminds me of the jet airways tagline " we've changed" to which the mallya owned kingfisher replies(intended or not)- " we made them change" ! ARE the customers really looking at this ? Brands or political parties for that matter should have some maturity level. Reacting to any spoofs or a tagline makes you no better, infact it drags you down to their levels. Their response must not be led by immediate provocation !
FLIP SIDE---
In today's world if you have to enter into media glare and attention, you have to get into the conversation. spoofs are the best way indeed. For majority of brands, it is much wiser to react to any spoof made on or by them because in a way they are attracting the eyes of the customer with their own RIVALS help! Isnt it a WIN WIN situation ! IF guilt free humour can be enjoyed and taken in no offence then why not ? In fact, it provides gains to both the parties. If your party or any company's leading brand have made a advertisement and then somebody spoofs it,overeact  and attract attention of the customers towards your idea  and if the spoof made is better than your idea/ ad , then IT is better to let it pass ! you sure do not want to bring bad name to your brand ! Do you ?  ( well, thats for rahul gandhi to annswer at least in today's scenario)

winds of change !

2013 has ended! yes !and the new year has begun with a smile on every one's faces.People around me have been excited at the new government formation by Mr. kejriwal.
on December 8 when the election results came out every one was shocked to see the sparkling debut. in fact to some people's dismay , it bagged many seats which people thought congress would bank on !
but i do not know since the very inception of AAP party , i believed it would bag majority and people will NEVER think twice before giving him a chance.
I am not the first person writing in praise/critics about him. I am not any kind of a literati who would go ahead and pass on his/her own opinions about his misgivings and good deeds. Neither I am an avid supporter of any national party who will try to bog him down by stating facts which hold no relevance/ logic.
I am just an aware citizen, sitting in the awe of your speeches, listening to you day in and out. Following you on various networking sites. Chalking out a plan on how to join your anti corruption brigade. Bringing a change in the society that I have always been looking at, but could not really Understand how to begin. Of all the articles I read about you, This one is going to be no different. Of course, it will be all about you giving us HOPE amidst DESPAIR in our country. Which we as youths have long forgotten. The power of “COMMON MAN” which today, stands tall defeating every single one of us who never thought of taking plunge into forming a political party. Blaming the system/governance would be easiest to get away with ,for us.
Most of us have gotten away with it , labelling it as the dirtiest game ever, and losing out on your morality and ethics if you want to enter it. Some of us even went to the extent of fighting an election, winning it on the grounds of honesty and then exploiting people and aam junta for reasons well understood by them. On the other hand, while the national capital territory wait for you swearing in ceremony with dreams of a better India. I am still juggling with the fact, that why is it always so difficult for good people to come together ? WHY is it that some good ministers are sitting out and watching the whole melodrama and not being a part of it ? i see no reason because in the end a political party has dreams of ruling the nation one day. All of them more or less carry same manifesto of giving us the required facilities. Then why are they all so disjoint? Why don’t they support this moral cause and lend their support. I found no reason convincing enough, which made Anna stay out of your party. Comrades like Kiran bedi who were once the youth icon for us  ,declined to be a part of this moral brigade? It disturbs us as, we are still wondering what could have hold her back?? Similarly, there are other good ministers in other parties who can give your party the much needed experience. After all that is the only  thing which keeps you at a lower stance than others. All they have is “experience”. It is disheartening to see those good members of our society staying aloof from your party and supporting not –so- worthy people out there. where  have they gone??
To all those people who are still waiting for this party to make big and then start being a part of it, let me tell you my opinion: START NOW ! because if all of us experienced, educated, moral members of the civil society come together, and be the torch bearers then our country shall definitely  fulfil the dream of a “DEVELOPED NATION”
“AAP” has proven that, everything is possible and could be achieved if you have the right niyat. All you need is conviction, strength ,determination to achieve the pinnacle.

It has come to my notice , that something divine has been happening in our nation.! the last year's mass protest against the brutality inflected on 23 yr old woman. the huge masses coming out from their homes and expressing solidarity on the issue.!, and then AAP win! isn't it ecstatic! i find this change much needed and something which our country needs badly. 2013 has paved the way for some good governance, awareness about issues that concerns society,MOM (mars orbiter mission)and many more. these are the event one should be proud of and look forward towards a brighter future. because folks the winds of change have started blowing and will go along way to sweep this country of corruption, poverty ,unemployment and if needed be then its own politicians who have been cheating on the public since last many years.
I have already started making plans to contribute to this cause aamaadmiparty.org
 , Have you ?

Have a great year ! 2014 !

Call me a - TEXTILE DESIGNER ! now

NIFT journey comes to end !!
yes, it has been a long, interesting, tiring, way too stressful at times, fun filled  years of being a student at NIFT. the very fist day when i stepped in , i was too terified  to look at some very talented people around me. of course, i was at a new place and it had some surprises. but today , when i look back. these four years have been worthwhile. I had encounters with some of the most amazingly creative, artsy, funny, hardworking, group of people. it has taught me very important lessons in life which i cease to forget. years went by but the memories stay for eternity. there had been times when i felt like leaving this place and moving into isolation, but then there were times when i die to come back and be a part of NIFT family altogether again !

I shall treasure memories , experiences and  learnings given to me by this place for lifetime .

SOCIAL OUTCAST : not a thing of past !

http://www.setindia.com/kbc/

On a chilly winter night, sitting on a cozy bed in a warm house, I consider myself lucky because I have a shelter to hide and keep me safe not only in the night but in every moment of my life. We might as well consider ourselves lucky sitting in warm houses and enjoying dinner but there is a huge lot of people who only dream of such lives.
Yes, lately via KBC(a popular gameshow in INDIA) I got to know about a community mu-sar , residing in a village which is hardly 15 kms from Patna, the capital city of Bihar. Oh! Yes,such is the irony that even after being in such close proximity from the capital city of the state, people reside there in unimaginable and dirtiest of the surroundings. Yes, this community which is also entitled as maha dalits  because there status lies in the lower section of the society. They are considered to be untouchables and are devoid of even the basic necessities of living. The people feed on mouses  (moos in hindi) in petty circumstances when they do not have grains to feed on. You will be called lucky if you get to eat a small bowl of boiled white rice during he day. They hunt mouses from the nearby farms and are forced to feed on them to continue living.
They are not given money for the labour  they do , instead zamindars over  there continue exploiting this community by still practicing the conventional methods of barter system. When a person works in a farm then he/she is given handful of grains to manage his living instead of paying him money.they can’t raise their voice, because they lack education. Lack of awareness and even basic human rights are a far cry for these people.
What in this  society has led  to a situation like this ? after all, who demarcates us a upper class and lower class, dalits or maha dalits, Brahmin or  a rajput. No body has granted us the right to outcast particular section of society just because of the fact that they are engaged in mean jobs. Their rights should be taken care of. Their education and living standards is a responsibility of government who  on other hand  is busy in filling their vote banks.
Such is the condition of Incredible India !!More than 5 lakhs of villages  are still there who haven’t seen the face of electricity let alone networking and technology. Where does it all end.!?? Isn’t it the responsibility of  the educated class of  India who earn handsomely.we cant always look upon government to do everything for us.we are well aware of the fact what government has been doin since the past 65 years..! if they would have been efficient enough such a situation would have never arised in modern india it is time , to lend a helping hand to such communities .opening schools and primary health centres are just words to start with. Need of the hour is active participation of  Indian youth in such matters. Our future belongs to them , and I am sure they do not want to see hungry and starved faces on the Indian soil. India is set to embark a global journey. Let us join hands and make our country stand above all !
Till I see you next time.!

For the women,By the women,Of the women

There is a special reason, why I write this post on this fateful day ,29 december 2012.
Yes, the braveheart (the victim) of a brutal gangrape is no more between us. She has left an indelible mark on our lives and each one of us has connected to her in some or the other way . In some cases we have even pledged to change the society. But my question is what if this happens again? Why do we always need a spank to get upright and behave in an utmost right manner.
Why do we wait ? why do we wait for things to happen and then rise from our bedlams to hold candlelight marches on India gate. I believe if we correct our measures and approach towards women, then certainly things will change and then any other girl will not be required to teach society(us) a lesson.
Yes,today is a lesson learnt by all of us. No matter what happens ,we will stand by what we preach and also show zero tolerance towards  attrocoties ON women  in India.Today , is the day ,when we need to learn and move on with an optimistic approach. Obviously things wont take a bitter turn if they aren’t allowed to do so. Its a BLACK SATURDAY when we all stand united for justice to the brave girl.
But i have a question that will all of us try and not make that happen again ? will all of us join hands for the other rape victims who have been suffering since so many years and still long for justice. My fight is on . are you on board??
P.s  : Increase in crime rates against women are on a spree, please spare me if my views become too much involved in that and write on social causes . After all thats what LIFE is. We need to bring change and NOW IS THE TIME .!
WRITE in to justice.verma@nic.in for your suggestions to the commission which has been set up by the government to look into this matter of brutal gangrape in the capital.

Bon voyage

Travelling has always been my favourite and lately it has been a long time since i last made any trip . The last trip was made to Chanderi (Madhya Pradesh).
It goes without saying that India has scenic places which are yet to be discovered and explored,no doubt Madhya pradesh has been promoting its state tourism through Incredible India channels, it is  terrific actually
.It was my deep desire to visit chanderi and meet weavers of the town who were involved in this occupation since ages.  The beauty of the sarees these weavers weave is parallel to the exquisite beauty found in that place.
Okay ,apart from all that surprised me on that visit , I always wanted to share what all goes through my brain whenever i sit in a train,wait on the platform,catch a flight etc;
it is indeed surprising how i think about different things at the same time.
I would like to share somethiing which came through my mind after i saw fortune teller machines installed  on the platforms, I also read about them recently.
There are row of bizarre looking machines with flasing red and yellow lights inside them(enough to attract any person let alone ANY child). they also show you your weight for one rupee and tell your fortune as well.they work like this : leave aside your baggage and stand on the place provided  facing the lights which flash in kaleidoscopic manner.
you need to indert one rupee coin and the the machine starts working.
lights flash like crazy and the machine goes tick tock  and then there is a loud noise when it comes out with stiff chit of cardboard generally yellow in colour(sometimes light pink).the lights and noise calm down . on this chit will be written your weight and your fortune.
two kinds of people use this machine : the children of the rich ;or the fully grown adults of the poorer class, who remain all their lives children ;)
PICTURE (above): the beautiful town of chanderi (about which i will specially write in details ,because i do not want to miss a single point ) besides me.:)
My every journey made me think somethings which  otherwise, would never even come in rarest of my  dreams. There were any others too which i might have forgotten, once i am reminded of them, i will definitely come back and write up about them too !:)

Few lessons learnt

whenever you embark upon a new journey , many things follow which includes excitement . people who care for you will always want you to be safe. friends will ask you to go places and enjoy to the summit. when i was about to leave my home , there were some lessons given by my mom, which obviously helped me to sail through many difficult situations.this time arouns, i feel it is time to ponder over those lessons and a revision is must.

i read an articlefew days back in some magazine which reflected  somewhat similiar views to what i was old few years back.

1.  outside world is mean. and it is ought to be like that.
2. be true to yourself. while you're at it, stop being an ass to yourself. you are doing the best yo can , too.
3. Right now, you believe  you are the better than anyone else  around you, soon you will realise what you are but that should not fear you innate awesomness.
4. you will have classmates who study ferociously and give themselves diarrohea pior to examinations, you  will also have classmates  who settle their chins comfortably on their text books and talk about their family members who had love marriages.
everyone will tell you to hangout with loosie squad, but hangout with storytellers instead, because at this tender age  you should not be influenced by people who invite diarrohea prior to exams.
5.some distinguished men  will follow you, call you names and grab you in public because..... i am not really sure why . when this happens do not allow other people to blame this kind of behaviour on your clothing. your language or for the fact that you have a uterus.
and many more ...
even though there were times when i could not go home and i missed it badly but these lessons always helped me to go through difficult situations.

put end to the DRAMA !!

I have had enough!!!.. enough of work, enough of sleep, enough of outside junk food and possibly everything i could ever think of.
past week was so full of all types of dramatic people around me..in my class people i have varities of people , people who work , people  who dont, people who want to but dont bother at times and then there is special category : people who do work but they dont know why are they doing it. okay , so if any one of my classmates read this ,i have something to say to tell them .. - I KNOW RIGHT !!
at my place : my flatmates, daily chores began with some sort of a drama , but intensity varies  which is directly proportional to their moods. the more happier they are , the more drama they will certainly create.
DRAMA - over not loosing  weight.
DRAMA -over not getting to go back home.
DRAMA -over too many assignments to be done on the weekend ( which possibly is almost  every weekend)
DRAMA- over bad dinner coming from college.
DRAMA- over house maid , ( who according to them is a big pain in their ass.)
i also accept that out of all these DRAMAS i mentioned i too create  few  of them quite often. :P. but sometimes i think , is there any need to crib about , thing you cant change, things you dont have any control over, things which matter the least ( for some cases,  like --well of course you can lose weight if you want to). above all life is itself a drama, drama scripted by almighty and we are the puppets who are controlled by him. We dont really have a big say in his doings and should accept whatever comes your way.! I never support the fact that we should not  aim for a better tomorrow but i also never oppose the fact that  it is all written , you never know what might come your way the very next minute.! as of now.. i leave it to you,  you can still carry on the drama in  your life and enjoy...
thats it..!

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

it is february 29th. i cant believe , that i wont be able to write on this date , atleast for four years from now on. i remember in 6th grade, i asked my geography teacher , why only february has 29 days and why not an other month ?. i can still recall the reaction i saw on her face , seeming clueless about the fact and the question she never expected . believe me, she was unpreturbed for next 10 seconds. after a long hault she said : she would answer my question tomorrow in the class. and as i expected she never did turn up. she never even gave me the opportunity to put any questions in near fututre too. now,i am in 3rd year of my college and enjoying life as it comes. and still clueless and i still have no answer to my question.so if anyone down there knows the answer please write to me............. , i still am inquisitive about it.
february 29th is an amzing date. it is the date which can be blamed for always and waited and cherished on the other hand too.! BLAMED : for reasons like , omg! we dont have 30th this month. ! we need to finish up projects too soon, knowing of the fact that it is just a matter of 24 hours ! CHERISHED-for people whose, birthday falls on such a date.so and so person will always wait for D-day to come and celebrate it grandly. although ,i am thankful to god that i was not born on that day because neither i can stand waiting for my birthday to come after four years and nor the awful date !
for people out there ,whose birthday falls on 29th feb, i have all the sympathy for you guys and besides that i wish you too for the day.29th is special day for any year and should be enjjoyed to the fullest....
happy one extra day - day of 2012 !!!!

the year that was ...

After all these years which passed I have always been thinking,
to write about past years happenings and post it on the very first day of New Year.
I dint know what stopped me? Whether I was too lazy or was I too busy in
following up with my freshly made resolutions or something really eventful dint
happen ?
Anyhow...just a sec.. ah got it.! Year 2011 was almost filled with the Anna
news update every month. After the Anna up rise I guess it was all about
corruption and constitution that every Indian was taking about. It was indeed inspiring
how Mr. Anna Hazare brought a revolution amongst the masses and made them aware
of whatever wrong is happening in the country. His fasts urged people to wake
up and get aware of what has been happening all these years. If in case it
would not have happened imagine how government would continue to exploit us for
the coming years and we won’t even come to know! And not to forget the continuous
blabbering sessions of parliament house on “LOKPAL” being called jokepal, brokepal
and what not. I still wonder what possibly could stop them to pass the bill ?continuous
threats from civil society, hunger strikes by the poor old man ,food inflation,
the list is endless. I fail to understand what is the government waiting for.?
I salute to the continuous efforts done by Mr Hazare and his team for passing
the Lokpal bill and making the government do the required. All hopes are now
pinned on Mr. Anna for making our country a corruption free and a developing
nation. Every youth has found an icon inside them Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and Mr.
Anna Hazare and so did i.
Kolaveri – not to be missed. I wonder this song was such a
big thing! I would like to tell how it happened to me. One day when I wanted to
search something on Google, I don’t know what happened but the words on my
keyboard felt like they were slipping away into each other. I was talking on
the phone too, and I happen to write “KOLA-“, just because of the
Google-THE-genius , how it guesses beforehand whatever we want to search , it
showed me an option of KOLAVERI –DI on the first. I clicked and I saw the
video. I was taken by surprise , the views of the video exceeded a crore
already . Next morning, I saw it making the headlines and the rest is history..
you know! I somehow too liked the song-u because-u of the word-u it used-u.! No
matter whatever sense it makes it indeed is fun to listen to it.
2012, might be the last year for us to live , but as of now
live happily ,give your best shot in everything you do .I have learnt to be
optimistic and I still hope that our country will soon get rid of the
corruption ,bad politics and blame game of the government. Till the keep humming,
because your heart wants to be happy, so keep it that way!
Happy new year – but remember after today it won’t be new,
it may not be happy but it will last a year!

ECLIPSE 2010

If ever you wanted to listen to collective howl of fun, outrage, cheers you shouldn”t have missed the eclipse event evenings at our college- NIFT,gandhinagar . The collective efforts of many people made this event A success..! Night stays at college, returning back to hostel at 6 in the morning and then again going to studios and sleeping..! For that matter our foundation studios were the sleeping grounds which served us best..!There was more to eclipse than we thought-fun ,nasty politics, responsibilities and of course if time permits then PRACTICES for our respective fields. Many events were worth remembering.”Imbue” dance practices were fun., frolic, and the highly indominiable spirit and energy levels of every1 made us dance..!never thought that a dance drama could be so much fun.! Just loved the way all we guys rocked the stage.! Similarly “bamboozles”,”nukkad natak”,talent show, fashion shows p.s.-the pappparazi show rocked big time.!i loved the way every one performed in these events.! congrats to my team of treasure hunt who is still searching for the treasure though :p..!no idea what is it actually..?! all in all it was lovely, and great feeling t0o be a part of eclipse.!though we have only played very small roles, but yes we tried our best, and turned out with elevated energy levels in the world where being mean, nasty and rude is the complement of highest order.!, and at last how can i FORGET the continous hooting and howling for” AURA” . earlier idk the exact idea behind shouting it but lately i got to know..and it was hilarious..!lol..! i wanted to tell all my friends through this that guys it is great to have people like you over here.!it would”nt have been possible if we all would not have been together,..!hope all of us stay together for the coming years and make every eclipse-bigger, better AND best..!

In my speculation, INDIA is extraordinary
and unique country blessed with diverse culture, tradition, lifestyle, language
interplaying with each other in harmony.
Recently on a face book application i
searched the meaning of the word “INDIA” .it laid out the rivers or women from
India. I realize that yes these two are the most precious assets of our
nation....rivers are the initiator , the provider of life to our homey....woman
as a mother ,sister ,wife is prime maker of a family. .....leaving this apart I still deduced the quote
`incredible India’ as funny title to a nation with plethora of problems like
unemployment, poverty, population, corruption etc... Persist. But when we saw
the ‘Gods own province’ by our own naked eyes it’s really an outlandish nation.
My recent two consecutive trips one to
kerala and another to Amritsar compelled me to observe that we are so much
linked to nature and geographic features of that particular place. I wonder
why, we are not much proud of fascinating nature of india. The sunrise in
kerala or in Amritsar gives the same zeal and zest for a new day....but this is
not the case with Indians .South Indians and north indians are very apart from
each other. I wonder how Britishers could rule such a variegate country for
more than 30 decades?? ....answer would be they used only this “heterogeneity”
as a shaky factor. I remember the partiality being done to Hindi knower and
malayam speakers in south india.....our mother tongue is of no use
there......illustrating my own experience and here is the description...
I lost my way to hotel in Kerala....it
was 10 in the night ...and the problem was that i even could not ask any
one.....but there was no way out (language barrier)....however ,some fishermen
did told me the way, but in their own code words(plz god send someone to decode
them)and nor they knew English!! ....surprisingly a man called me out from behind and said ‘aap aisa karein second lane mein first right turn lein’...i was
relieved not because of the access to my hotel was in my knowledge but
listening to the Hindi words...i interacted with him...he was a retired army
personnel n asked him ‘how could you speak Hindi so fluently being a
malayaly’.He instinctively replied....”HUM USS DESH KE VAASI HAI ,JIS DESH ME
GANGA BAHTI HAI”and laughed proudly...which left me dumbstruck and made me
realize.....
That it’s upon us
guys that what ‘we the people’ take it up to.....!!!!

it is the beginning.

ENGINEERING THE FASHION WORLD.!I ws just passed out from 12th and the result was very satisfying..!my engineering entrance exams were wreaking havoc on me.!and they left so many questions unanswered??time passed and i got admission in an engineering college.!i dont know wether i was happy doing that or not but it wasn’t bad either..!because generally that is what u expect from a science student, that he/ she goes into engineering rather than doing b.sc.!but somehow i was not happy with the way i was leading my life..I knew my interests and wanted to give myself another chance of proving myself.! I did realise that I should once again give NIFT entrance exam..!i never wanted to give engineering other chance, cuz i know even if i wd get a better college ,i would not be able to give it my best shot..! so i tried another year for my NIFT entrance.!and i got through.!the path wasn"t easy enough , it took tons of hardwork, and millions of prayers too..!but as of now i am in FASHION world.!I NOTICE THE STARK contrast betwen both the fields..!engineering was more of a practical field while fashion lets your mind run haywire and bring out new things. u dun:t have a set pattern to follow.ur mind is set free to think, create, and design.!hardwork is required in both the fields but the approach towards it is entirely different,.!i met different kinds of people: some are too generous., some are loving ,some are competitive, some are caring while on the other hand for some being nasty, rude and mean is the complement of highest order.!i met people from different backgrounds hailing from different places of india.!when i got into the institute i was terrified at seeing the talent of my batchmates an di gave a second thought to my decusion.!people over here are largely talented, versatile in their work process.!this kind of competitiion where you have to survive the bitchiness and mean ness of people.!i asked myself –will i be able to do it.>? i got a mixed response.!after staying there for a while, i was happy with my work and i stated getting recognition too for some of them..!. though it has been only half a year at dis place but ia m sure in the coming years i will have lots to learn and have to go through tough times too.! Whati can conclude from this is ;it might take you time to realise what you actually want to do..!but if you do then run for it and go for it .!because that is yhe place where you can give your best shot and aquire the excellence.!
